Leisa McInnes started travelling a lot over the last few years and has fallen in love with Egypt. From her base on the Gold Coast in Queensland she has partnered with Egyptologist Tour Guide and a travel wholesaler based in Cairo, and set up Pink Lotus Tours – sharing her passion with other travelers, many of them women.
I know it’s a country people especially women, are nervous about going to and I have found that by sharing my experience they are more comfortable. I lead the tours, so women can be assured they will be looked after and have a great time.
Leisa is organising her first spiritual retreat traveling in Egypt led by Deb Webber 25 March – 7 April. More Tours Here
Leisa’s first trip to Egypt was in 2014, part of a much longer journey that started in Greece through Italy Monaco, Switzerland into Paris then onto Turkey and Egypt. She knew nothing much about Egypt except from school, which was a while ago, and the usual documentaries on TV.
She joined an organised tour and by the time she arrived in Aswan she felt like she was home.
It was one of those moments that stay with you when you feel like you can just breath. I stood at the edge of the Nile and stared into it, mesmerised for hours, lost in my own thoughts.
I knew then it was a place I would come back to, although at the time had no idea how or when that might happen.
And so Pink Lotus Tours has become the way Leisa can spend more time in Egypt herself, and share her passion with other travelers, she particularly welcomes women travellers from Australia and New Zealand to join her in one of her trips.
