What woman can not succumb to Italy’s charms?
Averil Stuart-Head certainly could not, and in 2007 when she was asked to exhibit her art at the Florence Biennale, it became a catalyst for her and her husband (originally from Christchurch NZ), to buy a home in Italy. It is in a village called Introdacqua, two hours east of Rome.
Averil is a textile and felting fibre artist, working from her studio in Introdacqua, Bruce is a builder and commutes between NZ and Italy. While he is away, she leads Amore Italia Tours – Just for the Girls – exploring Venice, Florence and Rome and another Four Day Tour of Abruzzo Medieval Villages.
