This rafting trip carries our small (max 14) group of women down the entire 280 miles of the Colorado River in Grand Canyon National Park. No other geologic feature in America inspires the imagination as does the Grand Canyon, and there is no better way to see it than with a group of fun, outdoorsy lesbians.
A mile deep, up to 18 miles wide, and slashing through 2 billion years of rock, the Canyon is viewed from above by millions of visitors each year — but far fewer travel into its depths.
Will you be paddling all those miles? No way! Our intimate women’s tour charters a motorized raft so that you can relax and enjoy the ride. Marvel at the breathtaking grandeur and vistas of the Grand Canyon, ride thrilling whitewater roller coasters, hike remote canyons to cascading waterfalls, and take time for self-reflection in profound quiet, while the Colorado River whispers you to sleep under the stars each night.
We encourage you to check out this post on The HE Travel Gay Adventure Blog I was lucky to lead the 2012 women’s trip. There are some great photos and some insider knowledge about rafting and camping in one of the wildest places in the American West.
If seeing the Grand Canyon is on your Bucket List, check it off This Summer, with Gusto!
