Shopping Paradise – great malls of the world

July 3, 2012 by Rosemary

Guest Blog by Kirsty Fisher

Shopping is my number 1 hobby and I know it is the case for millions of other women too. Any chance to pop out to the shops for just a ‘couple of things’ always escalates into a big shopping spree, returning with many more items than expected and trying to justify your latest purchases to your other half. But it’s what girls do best right?

Here are a few of my favourite shopping malls in Istanbul, USA, Dubai

Istanbul Cevahir:

This amazing shopping centre can be found in Istanbul, Turkey and gains the status of the largest shopping mall in Europe. With 343 shops women can spend days on end here. There is also 12 cinemas, a theatre, bowling and even a rollercoaster. This shopping mall really does cater for your every need! Anyone traveling in the area can  book cheap Istanbul hotels to stay at while visiting.

Women flock here every day to make use of the facilities and shop shop shop!

Mall of America:

The Mall of America, also referred to as the ‘Megamall’ is the largest mall in America. The mall contains a wide variety of cool attractions like mini-golf, a waterpark, ice rink, sea life aquarium, a Nickelodeon themed indoor theme park and three hotels. There is literally something for everyone in this shopping complex. The mall also hosts many events with the opportunity to often spot your favourite celebrity and maybe get a couple of autographs if you’re lucky!

Dubai Mall:

The Dubai mall gains the status of being the largest shopping mall in the world. The shopping mall even has its own ski slope…you don’t see that in your average shopping centre! The mall has an astonishing 1,200 shops which I don’t think even a shopaholic could master in a day! What makes the mall stand out from the rest is its amazing variety of attractions with ice rinks, theme parks, cinemas and the world’s largest dancing fountain. Also the popular Sega Republic gamezone, a series of simulators creating a fantasy experience.

These are only a few of my favourite shopping malls, there are so many many more. I must warn you all that a visit to these malls does put a dampener on your credit card bill and like me, it can be hard just window shopping.

I visited the Mall of America, I am not a Mall girl for shopping, much prefer a local market. But I must say visiting these kinds of places is absolutely fascinating – definately a phenomenon
