Penny King lives in Adelaide South Australia and developed a passion for travel when she used to join her husband on business trips around the world. She met many women in her working life who were confident and organised but when it came to travel, not quite so.
Some were single, some widowed, some had partners who didn’t want to travel etc. To a woman, they didn’t want the traditional organised tour, hated the idea of following along with a group and touring in a big bus etc.
She wanted to develop some tours just for women – her aim to travel with a small group and be able to do my own thing as well – with no rush
So, in 2005 I took my first tour: to Italy. Did that for 2 years and then those same women said “how about somewhere else?” So I designed a France tour. Then the group was growing and all wanted to see more of Italy – hence the Italy Sequel Tour.
And on from there……
The people who make up her trips are mostly Australian, but others are welcome too… Each winter she has a big dinner for all those who have joined her, and they discuss what else the might like to do.
2018 she has three trips

- Italy 15 September – 6 October
- Italy the Sequel 13 October – 4 November
