Do’s and Don’ts: Packing Tips For Women

January 8, 2016 by Rosemary

packingTraveling is an exhilarating experience, but when it comes to packing nothing is more tiring and confusing than this. When we talk about women, they want everything in their bag – from bobby pins to hair dryer. But the important thing is – to re-think and consider only the essential things to add to their bags. Backpacking has some principles and must be followed while packing.

Here are some do’s and don’ts for packing, women need to keep in mind before leaving.

Do: Pack Light – Quick Dry Fabric And Convertible Clothes

Pack according to the type of vacation and weather. First and foremost job before packing is to make a list of clothes and items you will need.

You must pack shorts, loose shirts, a light jacket, light clothing with neutral colors. They are ideal for any vacation. Try to carry the least number of clothes with multiple uses. Pack convertible pants, shorts so you get different colors.

Don’t: Get Emotional

Don’t pack beyond your suitcase capacity. There is no need for a separate pair of shoes for each outfit. Carry footwear that can be worn with multiple outfits.

Make sure you don’t carry bulky towels, they will make your suitcase heavier.

Do: Pack Essential Products

All you need to carry is minimal cosmetics. There is no need to carry all the shades of lipsticks, two are sufficient. Buy an eye shade kit with all the colors and you can use a kohl stick for eyeliner as well.

All you need is a good face wash, scrub and don’t forget to carry sunscreen to protect yourself from sun damage.

Don’t: Pack The Beauty Routine

Body gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, moisturizer are the kinds of amenities that you will find in your hotel room, so don’t stuff your suitcase with unnecessary things.

Don’t pack extras of every product, you will not get time to use the extras.

multi usb chargerDo: Pack Adapters, Charger

Do take chargers, batteries, adapters and most important camera’s along. They are important and you may need them at any point of time to click the beautiful pictures with the best view. Do pack cables and ear plugs as they take less space.

Remember sometimes is there will only be one power point, so get a charger that can take several USBs.

Don’t: Pack Unnecessary Gadgets

Don’t take a hair dryer, straightener and curler, you can ask for such things from hotel staff.

Leave camera zoom lenses, electric toothbrush, book lights, laptop at home.

credit cardsDo: Carry Important Documents And Sufficient Cash

Do carry government authenticated documents like: passports, visa, identification proof.

You need to carry sufficient cash. Don’t rely on plastic money.

Don’t: Pack Jewels And Valuables

Keep your valuables at home, there is no need to showcase your expensive bracelets or gem studded jewels. You can carry light ear rings or bangles to spice up your outfit. Be safe and keep your luggage light.

Heavy luggage doesn’t only bother a traveller, but, it also demands luggage fees if it exceeds the airline luggage limit. So, a traveller must pack according to her necessity.

Never leave with the bag already extended – keep some space in your suitcase as you need it to keep gifts and souvenirs you will buy for your family and friends.

Packing can be easy and hassle-free, if you have a clear thought of what to pack and what not to pack.
