Travel Luggage for Women – Globetrotter Woman

November 19, 2015 by Rosemary

light bulb momentHow do we, a doctor and a lawyer, leave everything behind to start an international journey? Giugi Carminati needed a start-up that could raise funds for this change of lifestyle. But which startup? More on our inspiration for travel with her family. The answer – travel luggage for women.

Love the compartments in these!

I listed all the things I knew something about, that would feel purposeful, and would help others in the process. Then it hit me.

For years, I’ve traveled around the globe for work. I’ve observed other women doing the same. The one thing we all have in common?

Ridiculously impractical travel & work bags. Men walk into boarding areas and courtrooms with their perfectly designed briefcases. Women show up with totes, handbags, laptop cases, rigged to act as all three but not quite fulfilling any function.

I remembered bags spilling at TSA check points because the ones that are big enough, don’t close, and the ones that close aren’t big enough for carry on needs. I observed spilled contents in overhead bins. The list goes on.

Travel Luggage for Women…

Iglobetrotter woman - travel luggage for women launched the G Lux Line of bags. Bags made in Italy, of 100% Italian leather, that actually respond to the needs of business & professional women. The G Lux Line is a great selection. But, I thought, I can do even better. For the particular business woman, I want to launch the GTW Deluxe—the ultimate work and travel bag. So I started a Kickstarter campaign to do that.

In the end, my hope is to be able to ease other women’s travels and, in the process, give my family the gift of discovery. We plan to record our travels, via blogs and videos, creating an online series other kids can watch and learn from. We would be honored to share these travels with like-minded families.

And finally, to women with children: teach them to love the world by experiencing it; all of you will forever be changed for the better.
